Abstract

Class gap is one of the most important social and criminological issues.this is one of the important factors affecting crime. transfer of people to another class or their efforts to stay in one class has a significant effect on committing crimes.Class mobility is the process of changing within a class and moving from one class status to another - either up or down. The author seeks to find solutions to answer why and how class mobility affects delinquency in Iran. The basic question of the article is, what is the process of the influence of class mobility on delinquency in Iran? In response, the basic hypothesis is that the presence of a strong motivation to move up in the social classes and the lack of necessary legal facilities from an economic, social, and cultural point of view provide grounds for committing crimes. The factors that create the basis for crime in Iran, including the chaotic socio-economic situation and the administrative system, the confusion of social classes due to the excessive increase in inflation and the devaluation of the national currency, and the spread of marginalization, are the result of class movements in Iran and has had a significant impact on the crime caused by the confusion of social classes and has also led to the occurrence of economic, financial and administrative corruption such as theft, fraud, embezzlement and currency-related crimes. class mobility directly targets economic-financial platforms before targeting other social areas. However, it may indirectly affect the progressive rate of crimes against security and comfort or crimes against the physical integrity of citizens. Merton's pressure theory justifies the corresponding rate of crime in Iranian society, and among all the factors, the inconsistency between the legal means and goals of society is considered the most important factor in the direction towards crime
